The Monmouth Journal, Jersey Shore Online and The SandPaper wrote about the Street Smart NJ summer campaign that kicked of this month.
With more people out walking and biking, it’s especially important to be safe when travelling. Drivers must stop for people crossing, slow down and avoid distractions. People out walking should use crosswalks whenever possible and wait for the green light or walk signal when crossing at an intersection. If you’re out for a bike ride, remember to bike with the flow of traffic and use hand signals.
