Manville and RideWise Inc. are partnering on their second pedestrian safety campaign in the borough.
The campaign kicked off on May 1. Signs and posters with safety messages are on display this month. Police will be educating drivers and walkers about pedestrian safety.
“We’re reminding pedestrians to use crosswalks and wait for the walk, and drivers to stop for pedestrians, follow the speed limit, and not drive distracted,” Police Chief Mark Petlack said.
The borough hosted its first Street Smart campaign with RideWise in 2018.
