This month Street Smart NJ reached a major milestone — exceeding 200 pedestrian safety campaign partners, including municipalities, counties and colleges across the state.

This year 487 people have been killed in crashes in New Jersey, including 141 pedestrians and 16 cyclists.  That’s eight more pedestrians and two more cyclists killed than during the same period last year, which was also an increase over 2019, according to New Jersey State Police.
